What is an electrified palisade fence

Palisade fencing is a fence which has uprights. Steel palisade fencing usually has vertical angle iron bars attached to horizontal beams. An electrified palisade fence is a palisade fence which has an electric current flowing through it. Usually the voltage of an electrified palisade fence is in the region of 10 000 Volts, but this may vary depending on the length of the fence and the amount of vegetation touching the fence.

Electrified palisade fencing sizes

Electrified palisade fences come in a variety of sizes and shapes. The most common type of electrified palisade fencing is the 1800mm steel palisade on the bottom and then a 600mm steel palissade fencing on the top. For brick walls there is also the wall top fence, which is a 600mm steel palisade mounted on top of the wall and electrified to about 10 000 Volts.
